How to Calculate Score Using GATE answer key 2022
Using the answer key of GATE 2022, candidates can calculate probable scores following the below steps:

Calculate the total number of correct answers and allocate marks accordingly and then calculate the overall marks.

The candidate has to tally the total negative marks for wrong attempts. (Only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will have negative marking. There will be no negative marking for NAT questions). So the calculation goes:

MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)

Total marks (1 mark) = 1 x no. of correct attempts – 1/3 x no. of wrong attempts

Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct attempts – 2/3 x number of wrong attempts

NAT Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
Steps to challenge GATE Answer Key 2022
In case candidates find any objection in the provisional answer key of GATE 2022, they can challenge the same by following given below steps:

Click on "Contest Answer Key" tab.

The web page will be redirected to the payment gateway.

Make the payment of Rs. 500 through online mode (per challenge). For NRI candidates, the fee is US $ 10.

After successful payment, enter the question number candidates wish to challenge.

Justification for the contest (maximum 500 characters) will have to be provided by the candidates.

Before the submission of objection, attach the necessary supporting documents in the prescribed format.
Note: The candidates will have to check the serial number of questions which will be mentioned as per the official question paper released on the website while challenging the GATE 2022 answer key. Moreover, candidates will also have to specify the section name and question number in the supporting document before uploading such documents.

What After GATE Answer Key 2022?
Authorities will announce the result of GATE 2022 on March 17 for all the candidates who will appear in the exam. To view the GATE 2022 result candidates will have to log in using their GATE enrolment ID/email address/registration ID and password. The result of GATE 2022 will enable candidates to check their scores out of 100, qualifying marks for GATE paper, All India Rank and more. Candidates must note that authorities will calculate the scores by using the raw scores secured by the candidates in their respective GATE paper. For those papers which have multiple sessions, a normalization process will be adopted by the authorities.

GATE Cutoff 2022
The cutoff of GATE 2022 will be declared by IIT Kharagpur. The GATE 2022 cutoff will be the minimum qualifying mark required to clear the entrance test. GATE cut off 2022 will be based on factors like total number of candidates appeared in the exam, performance of the candidates in the examination, difficulty level of the exam and past year cut off trends.
